When you open SEO Page Auditor for the first time, the application may perform an initial environment check, prompt for a trial key or paid license, and prepare the local application state needed for normal operation. This action validates your license online and binds an activation slot to your computer.
The Activation Process (Instances) #
When you or a team member enters the License Key into the desktop application, the platform pings the license server and creates an Instance. This action binds one activation slot from your total limit to that specific computer’s hardware.
Understanding Activation Limits #
Upon a successful subscription, you receive a single, master License Key. The capacity of this key depends strictly on your chosen plan:
- Solo Plan: Limit is 1 activation (1 workstation).
- Team Plan: Limit is up to 3 concurrent activations.
- Agency Plan: Limit is up to 10 concurrent activations.
Important Note: Once your activation limit is reached (e.g., 3 out of 3 on a Team plan), the server will automatically decline any further activation attempts with that key until an existing slot is freed up by deactivating a machine via your Customer Portal
Offline Behavior and Grace Period #
SEO Page Auditor validates your license each time you click the icon and open the application. After launch, the application performs a background validation approximately once every 24 hours while in use. If the application cannot reach the licensing service (e.g., temporary internet outage), it includes a grace period of up to three days. Once the grace period ends, successful online validation is required before continued use.
