The page looks different in WYSIWYG, HTML, and TEXT

< 1 min read

WYSIWYG, HTML, and TEXT are not three separate page sources. They are three views of the same cleaned analytical core.

  • WYSIWYG is best for visual verification.
  • HTML is best for markup review.
  • TEXT is best for distraction-free formatted-text reading

If the visual presentation changes between modes, that does not automatically mean the analysis changed. The underlying source used for metrics remains consistent.

Why the page may not match the desktop version you expected #

SEO Page Auditor uses a strict mobile-first rendering baseline. If the page appears different from a desktop browser version, this may be expected behavior rather than a bug. The platform is designed to evaluate the version of the page that aligns with modern mobile-first indexing, which is often the more important search-facing state.
